Stephanie Trainer started learning to edit short films while working for an architecture firm that specialized in Urban Development. Passionate about story telling she wanted to continue exploring film as a medium seriously so she started making her own short films while applying to various film schools. She eventually got accepted into the London Film School where the learning truly began. Immersed in nothing but filmmaking for 2 years the program gave her the opportunity to explore all areas of the trade. The two years of studies were divided over 6 terms - each term they made an increasingly more complex film in terms of scope and ambition. Her final grad film culminated in her leading a small team in Bosnia as they told a story about the tense relationship between a boy and his mother in the midst of the Sarajevo siege. Since graduating rather than work directly in the industry she has shifted her focus on strengthening her work as a director and has built a small team of creatives with whom she works on projects with. Since graduating she has written and directed a music video, a short film, and a medium feature with eyes now on the target of feature film to be shot this upcoming Summer.
