Laramie Dennis is a director and writer for film, theater, and new media. She got her start in New York developing and directing plays, most notably at Jim Simpson and Sigourney Weaver's Flea Theater, where she was a resident director, and at the multi-Obie Award-winning Soho Rep, where she co-founded and chaired, for six seasons, the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab. Laramie then moved to Los Angeles, where she earned an MFA in Film and Television Production from USC. Her short films have screened at Eve, NewFilmmakers (LA + NYC), San Francisco Frozen, the Vancouver International Film Festival, and the Short Film Corner at Cannes. She's currently developing a new play with longtime collaborator Lisa Louttit, and an original screenplay entitled "Life on sMars," plus running a tiny animation studio with her husband Ricky out of their 460-square-foot house.
